Four inmates have escaped from the Jos Maximum prison in the state capital.

Our correspondent gathered that the inmates escaped in the earlier hours of Thursday at the centre at the state capital.

The Plateau state spokesman of the correctional centre, Mr Geoffrey Longdien confirmed it.

He said, “four inmates of the correctional centre escaped at the early hours of Thursday at the centre.

He added that the investigation is ongoing we shall brief the press when we finish.
