Ogun Assembly urges contractors to speed up road constructions

Ogun House of Assembly has urged the contractors handling road projects in the state to speed up the pace of construction in order to ease human and vehicular movements.

The House Committee Chairman on Works and Infrastructure, Mr. Abayomi Fasuwa, stated this while inspecting some ongoing road projects at Obantoko, Olomore, Adigbe and Lafenwa-Rounder areas of Abeokuta, the state capital.

He commended the development projects being executed by the Gov. Dapo Abiodun-led administration across the three senatorial districts of the state.

Fasuwa noted that the projects would have positive impacts on the socio-economic lives of the people.

He also said that the projects were in line with the demands of the people of the state.

According to the lawmaker, the assessment tour is aimed at affording his committee the opportunity of knowing the challenges that the contractors might be facing.

He added that the committee was ready to find workable solutions to the challenges and get the contractors back on-site, assuring the people that no projects would be abandoned in the state.
