The Rector of the Federal Polytechnic Offa, Dr Kadiri Oluwatoyin, has received the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Governing Council of the Federal University of Agriculture Abeokuta (FUNAAB), HRM Aragbiji of Iragbiji, Oba Abdur-Rasheed Odundun IV.
The prominent monarch, who was on his way from Abuja on an official engagement en route to Ilorin International Airport, paid an unscheduled-turned productive visit to the Rector in his office at the institution’s main Campus.
The warmth of homage paid by the Monarch’s host, Oluwatoyin showed he had been eager and looking forward to meeting FUNAAB’S council boss.
“Kabiyesi, I had intended to come over to your palace. So, this homage ought to have been paid by me right at Your Majesty’s Palace in Iragbiji,” the Rector said.
Responding to the Rector’s humble homage, Oba Olabomi, whose visit was maiden since the appointment of Oluwatoyina as Rector of the Polytechnic, prayed to God for the Rector’s ease of tenure, protection, managerial wisdom, and further promotion upon successful tenure completion.
According to Aragbiji, the institution has not remained the same since the assumption of the Rector given his introduction of educational novelty, innovation, proficiency, and academic excellence into the polytechnic as evident in his efficient managerial acumen.
On the Pro-Chancellor’s journey was his Chief of Staff, Mr Olayide Oladiti. Dr Jimoh Olorede, the acting Head of the Strategic Communication and Media Studies Department at the institution, joined the entourage.
Until he accedes to the royal throne, the FUNAAB’S council boss, a Director of Personnel Management (DPM), is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (FCIPM), Fellow Chartered Institute of Management (FCIM), Fellow Adeyemi Federal University of Education (AFUED) and Member Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (MNIPR), among other professional awards.
