Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, has announced his return to the All Progressives Congress (APC) from Accord Party.
Adelabu, the Oyo State gubernatorial candidate for the Accord Party at the 2023 election, lost to the incumbent governor, Seyi Makinde.
In a letter to the state chairman and APC leaders in Oyo State, Adelabu announced his intention to return to the party.
He stated that he will officially announce his return at a ceremony to be held at the party office in Oke-Ado on December 15, 2023.
In the letter, Adelabu expressed his commitment to working with the APC to install a party-led government in Oyo State in the 2027 elections.
Adelabu’s return to the APC comes amid speculation about the party’s plans for the 2027 elections.
The party is currently holding consultations with stakeholders across the state to develop a winning strategy.
