The Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Godwin Emefiele has announced that President Muhammadu Buhari will unveil the new naira notes on Wednesday.
Emefiele made this known while addressing journalists at the end of the Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) meeting which was held in Abuja on Tuesday.

According to him, President Buhari will unveil the re-designed notes at the Council Chambers during the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting in Abuja.
He, however disclosed that the CBN will not extend its new deadline for the final unveiling of the new notes which was initially extended from December 22, 2022 to January 31st, 2023.
