Rev. Istifanus Koce of the Evangelical Church Winning All (ECWA), Kuje, FCT, on Sunday urged Christians to cultivate abiding faith in God for divine fulfillment and not for earthly gratification.
Koce, whose advice was contained in homily entitled: “Biblical faith and its outworking’’, charged Christians to place their faith in God and not in men.
He charged Christians that in their quest for the kingdom of God and its righteousness; they should have faith and emulate the Godly characteristics of Jesus Christ while on earth.
He said God is the only genuine that rewards people who sought him genuinely.
The pastor, while admonishing Christians to wait for God’s reward, particularly enjoined the congregation to give willingly for the progress and development of the Church.
Reading from Heb.11:1-6, he quoted Apostle Paul, who described faith as a substance for anticipation.
“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for; the evidence of things not seen, for by it the elders obtained a good report.
“Through faith and the Word we understand that the world was formed so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear,’’ he said.
Rev. Koce stressed the need for Christians to help others, especially those in need, saying: “we must try to positively touch the lives of others, care and improve the welfare of our neighbors.’’
