Full legislative activities did not hold in the House of Representatives as plenary was adjourned in honour of late Honorable Yuguda Kila, who died last Friday
The late Honorable Kilan hails from Jigawa state and was Chairman Committee on Customs
Speaker of the House, Honorable Femi Gbajabiamila, who expressed deep sadness at the demise of Hon . Yuguda Kila, described him as a dedicated friend and colleague, at a special session held in his honour
Gbajabiamila noted that the nation’s legislature can not afford to lose such a dedicated, experienced and competent hand at this time, and would be sorely missed.
He remembered with sadness how Rep. Kila told him on the phone how he wanted to say goodbye to him, not knowing it would be the last goodbye between them.
Speaking on behalf of Jigawa caucus in the House, Honorable Abubakar Fulata ,.described their late colleague as an accomplished politician and elder statesman.
He stated that late Kila was the father of peace and tolerance , regretting that the House has lost an elder statesman of courage and peace.
“The House will continue to remember Rep. Kila for his immense contributions towards the success of the Nigerian House of Representatives” Fulata added.
Similarly, his deputy in the committee of customs Honorable ,Leke Abejide, said the late Honorable member was a colleague, friend and elder brother.
According to him , Rep. Kila was a highly competent boss, colleague and father
He prayed to God for the forgiveness of his shortcomings and comfort for the family Rep. Kila left behind

Prayers were offered in memory of the late member and a minute silence also observed in his honour.
The House thereafter adjourned as a mark of honour
However, plenary session and other legislative activities would resume in the House Wednesday
