Buhari sued by SERAP

Due to inability to divulge the details of individuals from which looted public funds and the projects that the recovered funds were spent on, amounting to N800 billion, were recovered from, the Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has taken it upon itself to sue the president, Muhammadu Buhari.
SERAP, in the suit submitted to the Federal High Court in Abuja, asked for an investigation to be carried out on N51 billion which was alleged to have been paid into private accounts in 2019. This is along with the request to divulge details of individuals from which looted public funds and the projects that the recovered funds were spent on.
Respondents of the suit are Mrs Zainab Ahmed, Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, and Mr Abubakar Malami, SAN, Attorney General of the Federation.
The hearing of the suit has not been fixed yet.
