
The Rivers state Government has terminated the appointment of two Service Providers over non-performance.
Sole Coordinator of the Rivers State Waste Management Agency (RIWAMA), Felix Obuah approved the immediate termination of the Service Providers in a press statement signed by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Jerry Needam.
He identified the erring companies as First Did 7 Sons Limited and Particular International Venture Limited.
The statement read in part; The services of “First Did 7 Sons Limited covering Ada-George
From Ikwerre road to Gateway Church by Elioparanwo and particular International Venture Limited – covering Rumuokwuta junction including gas to Rumuola junction to park hotel along Aba road, have been terminated over non-performance.
“Bro. Obuah who announced the immediate disengagement of the above Service Providers said their disengagement became necessary following their inability to keep their zones clean in spite of repeated warnings and appeals by the Agency, describing their actions as sabotage, reckless and failing in their duties.
“The Sole Administrator assured that the measure would serve as a deterrent to other recalcitrant Service Providers who do not want to take their jobs seriously.

“Bro. Obuah also vowed that the Agency would no longer spare any Service Provider who is not ready to work and keep their areas clean on daily basis.
“Similarly, the Sole Administrator, Rivers State Waste Management Agency, RIWAMA, Bro Felix Obuah has warned shop owners and landlords who either dump or allow wastes to be dumped in front of their shops or houses to desist forthwith or risked being arrested, if wastes are found in front of any shop or house within Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital and its environs, with effect from the date of this announcement.”
