A former member of the Rivers State House of Assembly and Chairman of Emohua Local Government, Chidi Lloyd, has warned the state governor, Siminalyi Fubara, against the continuous disregard of court orders.
Lloyd accused Fubara of supporting illegality by continuing to support the illegal Caretaker Committee Chairmen’s stay in office despite a Supreme Court judgment nullifying them.
In a briefing which was held in Rivers State alongside former local government committee chairmen, the former lawmaker said, “We are not cowards. We will force our way into local government councils. We have kept quiet because of our leader (Nyesom Wike) who continues to preach peace.
“We are the ones that got him (Sim Fubara) elected into office as governor when his local government produced less than 5,000 votes. If things continue like this, we will exacerbate the already exacerbated situation because we are not cowards”
