RSG Warns Chiefs, Youths Against Disruption Of Ongoing Project

The Rivers State Government has warned Youths and Chiefs Ogbum-nu-Abali Community against disrupting the ongoing construction at the Sandfill area in the community.

In a statement by the Commissioner for Information and Communications, Paulinus Nsirim it states that the “Rivers State Government hereby warns the Chiefs and Youths of Ogbum-nu-Abali Community not to disrupt the ongoing construction at the sandfill area in the community tomorrow( Saturday, October 31, 2020)”.

The statement added that “Intelligence report had revealed that the Community had hired cultists suspected to be members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) to stop Julius Berger Nigeria PLC from carrying out their contractual obligation”.

The Government warned that they will deal decisively with any youth found disrupting work at the sandfill area.

Traditional Rulers in the community are advised to warn their children or wards to stay clear of the area or face the full wrath of the law, the statement added
