Veteran Nollywood actress, Rita Edochie has said that the turmoil in the South East will not come to an end until the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu is released.
Edochie said this in reaction to the chaos caused by the enforcers of a one-week sit-at-home order issued by Kanu’s right hand man, Simon Ekpa.
Some videos of these enforcers assaulting and shooting at market women, students and other innocent citizens had gone viral last week.
Speaking on the incident, the actress accused the elites of creating unrest in the South East, while protecting their own offsprings.
She took to Instagram on Monday and wrote : “RELEASE MAZI NNAMDI OKWU KANU TODAY AND SEE THE UNREST IN THE SOUTH EAST BECOME A HISTORY.

ThisNigeria reports that Kanu is in the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS).
