Sen. Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan, representing Kogi Central Senatorial District, on Tuesday attended plenary, following the expiration of her six months suspension and resumption of senate proceedings.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Akpoti-Uduaghan arrived at the senate chamber when President of the Senate, Godswill Akpabio, was reading his address of welcome.
Upon arrival, the senator took her seat, where she was greeted with pleasantries by some of her colleagues, including Sen. Abdul Ningi (PDP-Bauchi), Sen. Ali Ndume (APC-Borno) and Sen. Aminu Tambuwal (PDP-Sokoto).
NAN reports that Akpoti-Uduaghan was suspended in March over alleged misconduct while protesting against the senate leadership’s decision to reassign her seat.
The senator, during an interview with newsmen, had maintained that she owed no apology to the senate leadership for her conduct. (NAN
