Seun Kuti rejects friendship offer from man who threatened to kill him

Afrobeat singer, Seun Kuti has turned down a friendship offer from a man, who previously threatened to kill him on social media.

The man, identified as Solomon Idowu, had issued a death threat against Kuti in a now-deleted social media post.

In a video sighted by ThisNigeria, Kuti confronted Idowu about the threat and made him retract his statement on camera.

“My name is Solomon Idowu, and I’m a citizen of Chicago, United States, I live in Chicago.

“If anything happens to Seun in Chicago, I’ll be responsible if it comes from me, which would never happen.” He said.

After the confrontation, Idowu offered Kuti his friendship.

“If anything happens to him, I’ll be responsible. Can we be friends?”

Kuti, however, flatly rejected the offer, stating, “We can’t be friends.”
