Filmmaker Ego Boyo has shared reasons why she believes ladies attending a movie audition must wear bras.
This was in reaction to a recent outburst by veteran actress, Ngozi Ezeonu, who chastised ladies for wearing crop tops without undergarments at an audition.
In the video, which went viral on Wednesday, the movie star warned that she will not tolerate anyone who shows up at an audition in an inappropriate attire.
Reacting to Ngozi’s outburst, Ego Boyo, in a post she made on X on Thursday threw her weight behind the thespian.
She emphasised the need to condemn indecent outfits at auditions, which she likened to job interviews.
Her words, “An audition is a job interview! Dress appropriately. Show up how you want to be addressed.
“What utter tosh from all these incredibly stupid hot takes. Utter rubbish. As a colleague said, ‘Because we provide entertainment, does not mean our work is a joke.”
Her statement has been met with applause from some quarters, though others maintain that the women’s attire should not have warranted public criticism.
