Shettima arrives Nasarawa for APC presidential campaign rally

Vice-President Kashim Shettima has departed Abuja for Lafia, Nasarawa State, to attend the All Progressives Congress presidential campaign rally, where the party is expected to highlight the Tinubu administration’s projects as part of its appeal for a second term in 2027.
Shettima’s departure was announced on Wednesday by his media aide, Stanley Nkwocha, in a post on social media.
In the post, Nkwocha highlighted the Federal Government’s investments in road infrastructure, education and solid minerals development in Nasarawa, describing the state as an important part of President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
Among the projects listed were the Akwanga–Jos–Bauchi–Gombe–Biu–Maiduguri road project, the proposed conversion of the Federal Polytechnic, Nasarawa, into the Federal University of Mining, Engineering and Technology, and investments in lithium processing.
The projects, according to the post, are expected to support job creation, improve trade and expand economic opportunities in the state.
Nkwocha also presented the initiatives as part of the administration’s plans for Nasarawa, arguing that the state could benefit further if Tinubu secures a second term in 2027.
“These projects are just the start of President Tinubu’s plan for the state, and things will only get better if he wins a second term in 2027,” he wrote.
The rally in Lafia forms part of the APC’s campaign activities as the party seeks to mobilise support for Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
