Tragedy struck in Iperu, Ogun State as two silbings reportedly committed suicide after misplacing their mother’s phone.
The information was posted on X by a user, Tao of Iperu who claimed that the siblings were between the ages of 10 and 18-year-old.
He wrote, “I heard two siblings took po!son and d!ed after misplacing their mother’s phone. One is 18 years, and the other was 10. They were scared their mom would beat them, so they decided to end their lives. This sad event happened in Iperu.” (sic)
Another user, @Blue_spet, who responded debunked the post saying, “Stories without proof, bro I Dey iperu and I have never heard what you just posted. Even on Akesan group or remo group nothing of this kind of news, can please shed more updates as to how you got this news and facts.” (sic)
However, Tao further buttressed his point by asking the other user to visit the hospital the kids were initially rushed to.
He responded, “If you want to hear the full story, take a bike to Imobido primary health center, Iperu where the deceased were first rushed to, before referring them to another hospital. The whole of Iperu is not just a street bro!” (sic)
