The Lagos state police command has arrested singer, Ice Prince for assaulting a police officer.

The Police Public Relations officer, Benjamin Hundeyin revealed this in a statement on Friday.

Explaining reason for his arrest, Hundeyin said the singer was stopped by the police officer for driving without license plates, but he made a U- turn after agreeing to go to station, abducted and assaulted the police officer while threatening to throw him in the lagoon.

He said “At 3am today, @Iceprincezamani was stopped for driving without license plates.

“He agreed to be taken to the station. He, thereafter, abducted the police officer in his car, assaulted him and threatened to throw him in the river.

“He has been arrested and would be arraigned today”.
