Singer Tiwa Savage confirms attack, kidnap attempt by domestic staff

Nigerian singer, Tiwa Savage has confirmed a kidnap attempt by one of her domestic staff at her residence in Lagos.

Tiwa confirmed the report in a statement issued by her management and shared via her Instagram page on Friday.

She captioned the statement “Thanks for all the messages. All is well.”

The statement read: “Following recent reports online, we can confirm that on Thursday 13th April 2023, there was a major security breach at the residence of musician Tiwa Savage.

“A number of suspects were caught and are currently being held at Alagbon police station in Ikoyi.

“Ms Savage and her family are safe and well”.

ThisNigeria reports that controversial journalist, Kemi Olunloyo was the first to share the report that there was a kidnap attempt on Ms Savage.

Olunloyo alleged that the suspect, who was Tiwa’s driver was “passing information to his co-conspirators who had been trailing her for days as she left her home.”
