Soldiers kill 4 terrorists in Kaduna

The Defence Headquarters (DHQ), Tuesday, said, the troops of Operation Forest Sanity, have killed four bandits that have been terrorizing, Rafin Taba, and Rafin Sarki villages, in Giwa Local Government Area, of Kaduna State, during an ambush operation.

The Director, Defence Media Operations, Major General Musa Danmadami, in a statement, said, the operations were carried on 1 and 2 January 2023, following a distress call.

He noted that the troops responded swiftly and engaged the terrorist in a fire fight.

Major General Danmadami, said, the troops killed two terrorists and recovered one AK 47 rifle, during the gun duel.

In a related development, the troops, on 3 January 2023, carried out an ambush operation at Rafin Taba village, Giwa Local Government Area, Kaduna State and made contact with terrorists.

The troops, he said, engaged terrorists and killed two of them.

He added that two AK 47 rifles, four AK 47 magazines, Fifty one 7.62mm special ammunitions, five mobile phones, one cutlass, two motorcycles and a sum of two hundred and six thousand naira (206,000), only, were also recovered from the terrorists.

He concluded that the military high command commends troops of Operation Forest Sanity and encourages the general public to avail troops with credible and timely information on criminal activities.
