Mr. Odera Ozoka, a chieftain of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) says Anambra is blessed to have Prof. Chukwuma Soludo as its governor-elect.
Ozoka, who was one of the party`s Anambra governorship aspirants in its recently held governorship election, said this in Abuja on Wednesday at the public presentation of a play titled: “Hearword”.
“Anambra is blessed to have Prof. Soludo as our next governor. APGA won 19 out 21 local government areas in what many see as the freest and fair election ever held in this country,’’ he said.
Speaking on the petition against Soludo`s electoral victory, Ozoka expressed optimism that the judiciary would do the right thing to ensure that the voice of the people stand.
“I think for our country to grow, we have to move past challenging every electoral victory, especially when the victory is as rancor-free as what we saw in Anambra.
“I believe Anambra and Nigeria will benefit from the developmental ideas of Soludo, the Governor-elect.
“I am excited about the endless possibilities in the near future,’’ he said.
Ozoka said that he first saw the play, Hearword in 2016 at Harvard Dance Centre in Boston, where he was studying at the time.
‘They brought the house down with their performance. It was such a powerful and vivid portrayal of the plight of women in Nigeria.
