Destroyed 156-Year-Old Bida Market to Be Reconstructed

Reconstruction work is set to be carried out on a 156-year-old Bida Market in Niger State.

The reconstruction work is necessary as a result of a fire outbreak that razed shops and accompanying buildings within the market in 2018. The reconstruction is set to be a multimillion Naira venture and will be carried out under the sponsorship of Sa’idu Musa Abdul, who is representing Bida, Gbako, and Katcha as a House of Representatives member.

The 156-year-old market would be replaced with modernized lock-up shops.
