Kassim and Aliyu, two sons of the late philanthropist and business mogul, MKO Abiola, were detained by the Lagos State Police Command following the robbery incident on the second of this month.
It was reported Kassim and Aliyu were arrested after the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) filed a comprehensive investigation and Adebisi Abiola, their stepmother filed a complaint against them. However, the Lagos State Police Command is refusing to comment on their arrest. SP Muyiwa Adejobi, Lagos State Police Command PRO, revealed that, ‘On MKO Abiola’s sons’ arrest, we will be silent for now because the matter is subject of litigation. We will react as at when due.’
The Lagos State Police Command has also arrested seven domestic staff who are alleged to be involved in the robbery.
