
FCT Minister, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike yesterday held a reception for Prince Chibudom Nwuche and Hon Marcus Nle Ejii after their swearing in as Board Chairman and Executive Director Projects, respectively, of the newly inaugurated board of the South South Development Commission.
Hon. Nle Ejii, a former prominent member of Rivers Assembly, former Commissioner and notable entrepreneur, will, alongside other members of the management team, lead the charge in the infrastructural transformation of the South South states as well as the economic wellbeing of the region.
The Board Chairman is Rt. Hon. Chibudom Nwuche, while the
Managing Director is Ms Usoro Offiong Akpabio. Other members of the board are:

The South-South Development Commission (SSDC) has as its core objectives and mandate ” accelerating socioeconomic development in the South-South geopolitical zone.”
Its headquarters are located in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, and “it is intended to coordinate infrastructure development, improve social services, and foster economic opportunities by partnering with local communities and organizations. The commission’s creation aims to address long-standing development challenges in the region and ensure that resource revenues benefit local communities.”
