Stop dabbling into issues you don’t know -Wike slams ‘elders’ over misrepresentations on Tinubu’s mediation

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike has urged the residents of Rivers State not to interfere in political conflicts without understanding the root cause.

Wike issued the caution at the thanksgiving ceremony for the immediate past Commissioner for Works, George Kelly Alabo, in Port Harcourt.

The former Rivers Governor stated that it was important to understand the genesis of a political rift before taking sides.

Wike also knocked some Rivers “elders” over their position on the political crisis, urging the public to dismiss their claims.

He said “When I was running for governor, I was invited that some elders want to see me, when I got there I saw only 2 people. Just 2 of them constituted themselves as elders over the whole state.

“Now they’ve come back again as elders, don’t mind them.” When we wanted to go for it we were not shouting asawana, now they’re carrying flags and shouting asawana up and down.

“Are you people aware that Mr President actually called us privately and told us what to do, he didn’t do it and now Mr President then said okay, the larger house should come and they’re saying he does not have the constitutional right to do that.”
