Sunday Igboho’s extradition hearing holds Thursday

The court hearing on the extradition of arrested Yoruba Nation agitator, Sunday Adeyemo a.k.a Sunday Igboho, is scheduled to hold on Thursday, July 22nd, 2021, in the Benin Republic.

This was made known by Igboho’s spokesman, Olayemi Koiki on Thursday morning.

Koiki said that the hearing will give Igboho’s legal team the opportunity to “present his case.”

“The sitting will be held at 10 am in the morning at the Benin Republic court.

“The court will determine the fate of the extradition and we’ll also have the opportunity to present our case especially on the personality of Igboho.

“We know the magnitude of what the Nigerian government is trying to do if they try to get hold of Igboho but they will fail, by God’s grace.

“Their intention was to capture him, but God fought for him,” he said.

Igboho was arrested at an airport in Cotonou, Benin Republic while trying to make his way to Germany after being declared wanted by the Department of State Services for alleged illegal possession of firearms.
