An Iyaganku Magistrates’ Court sitting in Ibadan on Thursday, ordered that friends be remanded in a correctional centre for armed robbery, pending legal advice.
The police charged Ifeanyi Nanim, 28, and Jimmy Badmus, 25, with eight counts bordering on armed robbery, unlawful possession of locally made pistol.
Magistrate Munirat Giwa – Babalola, who did not take their pleas for want in jurisdiction, ordered that the suspects be remanded in Abolongo Correctional facility.
Giwa-Babalola ordered the police to returne the case file to the Oyo State Directorate of Public Prosecution for legal advice.
She adjourned the matter until Aug. 12, for mention.
Earlier, the prosecution counsel, ASP Sunday Fatola told the court that Ifeanyi and Badmus with others, at large, robbed different hotels in Ibadan.

Fatola said, the suspects on Jan. 28, at about 11: 58 p.m. while armed with gun allegedly robbed one Yusuf Adeniyi, a guest at the Metro Hotel, Oluyole, Ibadan,
He alleged that the suspects stole two laptops, cell phone, two Bank ATM , hard drive and a Earphone, belonging to Adeniyi at gun point .
He also said that the suspects robbed Kayode Shopeyin of his IPhone and laptop.
The prosecution counsel also said that the suspects robbed a Police Officer , CSP Ifeanyi Owo in the Metro Hotel of cell phone, N130, 000cash.
He said that the suspects on Feb. 17, at about 2. 20 a.m. attacked Bino Hotel, at No. 3, Oshigeku Str, Ikolaba, Ibadan, and robbed a staff at gun point.
The offence, he said, is punishable under Section 1(2) A and B, 6(b) of Robbery and Firearms Special Provisions Act Cap RII Laws of Federation of Nigeria 2004.
He also said the offence contravened the provisions of Section 3 and punishable under section 27 ( i ) (a) (i ) of the Firearms Act F28, Vol. 14, Laws of Nigeria 2000.
