Anambra govt rescues 17-year-old boy from abusive guardians

The Anambra state government has rescued a 17-year-old boy simply identified as  Chikamnanyo Olisaemeka from the clutches of his abusive guardians.

The state government through the Commissioner for Women’s Affairs and Children’s Welfare, Mrs Ify Obinabo rescued the victim after a trending video of him on social media went viral.

Chikamnanyo identified his guardian as his mother’s brother, Mr. Oluchukwu Olisaemeka and his wife, Ebere Olisaemeka, who his mother handed him over to in February 2022.

Speaking after his rescue, the commissioner assured that the guardians will be charged to court, adding that Chikamnanyo is in an undisclosed hospital receiving medical treatment.
