A former presidential aide, Reno Omokri has urged the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu not to sack his aide over the wet cloth controversy.
A video showing Tinubu’s agbada, looking wet after standing to address his loyalists at the palace of the Awujale of Ijebuland in Ijebu Ode, had gone viral over the weekend.
In the video, an unidentified man believed to be an aide to the APC chieftain could be seen covering his nose in disgust while looking at the wet agbada.
Reacting to the video, Omokri vowed to help the man secure another job if he was fired by Tinubu.

“Can someone perform a welfare check on Bola Tinubu’s aide who held his nose when Tinubu suffered from his ‘toilet malfunction’? Feelers have it that the man may no longer be employed. If this is true, Nigerians want to know what crime the man committed by covering his nose?
“I call on journalists to help me identify the man. I pledge to help him secure another job, where he will not have to hold his nose because of noxious odours. Nobody deserves to be sacked for covering his or her nose when the air around them has been polluted!,” he wrote on Instagram.
Meanwhile, Tinubu’s media campaign office have debunked the video, describing it as “photoshopped” by detractors.
