Haija Aishat Maina, an aide to Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal, is dead.
According to reports, Maina died on Tuesday at the presidential rally of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) which held in Sokoto.
It was learnt that a stampede had occured at the exit gate of Gingiya Stadium, the venue of the rally, after a motorcycle rider fell from his bike.

However, Hajia Maina passed on shortly after her admission at the Usmanu Danfodiyo University Teaching Hospital, Sokoto.
She was the former Special Adviser to Governor Aminu Tambuwal on New Media before she was moved to Female Education Board.
She is survived by three children and aged parents.
