2027: Set aside personal gains, team up against Tinubu, Deji Adeyanju to Atiku, opposition candidates

Lawyer and rights activist, Deji Adeyanju has urged the 2023 presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Abubakar Atiku and other opposition candidates to team up to unseat President Bola Tinubu.

Adeyanju on Facebook, described Atiku as a selfish politician who has been taking shots at the presidency since 1993 and has failed to set aside his personal interest for 32 years.

In the post, Adeyanju reacted to a claim by an associate of Atiku who revealed the former vice president is willing to work with the Labour Party 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi in 2027.

Adeyanju, sharing the post, wrote, “What they should have done in 2023 when Buhari was in power and ready to work with them. Buhari even did Naira redesign for them, etc. ATIKU IS TOO SELFISH though. He is still bent on contesting. Something you have been doing since 2003 without success. Nigeria needs coalition.“

In a follow-up post, the lawyer said, “CORRECTION: Atiku has been trying to be president since 1993. The man is still trying to contest 32yrs later. Well, it is his constitutional right. I will no longer cry more than the bereaved. Good luck to the opposition if they don’t keep selfish interest aside and face Tinubu.”
