A cheiftain of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Rivers State, Bouchi Nsirim has chided Governor Siminalayi Fubara over a song played at a recent project inauguration in the state.
The live band at the event had performed “dey your dey”, a song believed to be a swipe at those in a political rift with the governor.
Reacting during an interview with Silverbird TV, Nsirim stated that those that the song took a jab were the individuals who worked hard for the governor to get elected into office.
He stated further that Fubara’s actions are promoting further disunity, rather than to reduce the tension in the state.
Nsirim said “The people you are telling “dey your dey” sacrificed their resources and sacrificed their sleep for you. They moved from the nook and cranny begging people to support you to become governor. Now you have become governor you are telling the people to “dey their dey”.

” Was that the reason why they elected you to office? You need to put everybody together. Assuming without conceding that there is a third party there who truly wants to cause crisis in the state, should the governor not be the one to stand and say I want peace in the state?.
“He should not be making inflammatory statements. The manner he is approaching this issue is not nice. He is prolonging the crisis in the state”.
