Wilberforce Bafte Juta, who was governor of non-operational Gongola state, was buried in his home at Pakka, Mahia LGA, Adamawa state.
Late Wilberforce was extolled for his resourcefulness and dedication, and he would be sorely missed by his party and the people because of his leadership qualities and his efforts to nurture unity and development. He died at the age of 76 and was one of the founding members of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP).
As a sign of respect for the late icon, the burial ceremony was held, in high regards of the social distancing protocols, at the Cathedral LCCN Church in Yola
