Kano State Governor Alhaji Abba Kabir Yusuf has received the final report of the State Task Force on Internally Generated Revenue.
The task force was set up by the Governor at the inception of his administration in June to review the state’s Internally Generated Revenue and Tax Consultancy Services.
In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Sanusi Bature, the Governor also inaugurated the state’s Standing Committee on Enhancement of Revenue and directed for the immediate implementation of the task force report.

The Committee has Prof Ibrahim Barde as chairman; Abdulkadir Abdussalam (Accountant-General); Sani Dambo (Chairman KIRS); Habu Fagge (Executive Chairman Pension Board); Dr Hamisu Ali (DG Debt Management Office); Dr Aliyu Isa Aliyu (DG Bureau of Statistics); Aminu Shuaibu, (SSA Revenue); Ali Kankarofi; Dr Abubakar Usman Muazu; Jamila Abdullahi; Zainab Abdulkadir; Ibrahim Bawa, as members, while Dr Aliyu Danmaraya will serve as the secretary.
The Governor enjoined the standing committee to work diligently in the interest of the state to ensure significant improvement in revenue generation.
