IPOB Sit-at-home: Gunmen storm school, chase out WASSCE candidates in Imo

Some unidentified gunmen suspected to be members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) on Monday stormed Comprehensive Secondary School in Imo State over the sit-at-home order by the group.

According to reports, the gunmen chased out students sitting for the West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).

It was gathered that some school properties were destroyed in the process.

IPOB had ordered that a sit-at-home exercise must be observed every Monday in the South East in solidarity with their incarcerated leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

However, the state Governor, Hope Uzodinma on Sunday, urged the residents to ignore the order given by the group.
