President Bola Tinubu has hailed FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike over his efforts in transforming the nation’s capital.
Tinubu, while speaking at the commissioning of Abuja’s southern parkway on Tuesday, thanked Wike for “bringing life back to the FCT.”

ThisNigeria reports that the Minister named the southern parkway after President Tinubu.
“Our landlord, thank you. Thank you for your good work. We won’t let you down. We will stand by you. Thank you for naming the road after me,” he said.
The southern parkway stretches from the Christian Centre to Ring Road One and is considered one of the city’s major spines.
Speaking at the event, the minister said the project was completed in line with the president’s ‘Renewed Hope Agenda’, 13 years after construction commenced, adding that it would ease free flow of traffic in the FCT.
Dignitaries at the well attended event include: the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume; Chief of Staff to the President, Hon Femi Gbajiabiamila; Minister of State, FCT, Dr Mariya Mahmoud; former Deputy Speaker House of Representatives, Hon. Chibudom Nwuche;
Others include the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje; National Vice-Chairman PDP South-South, Chief Dan Orbih; Senators Mao Ohuabunwa, Olaka Nwogu, Sandy Onor and Philip Aduda, Prince Emma Anyanwu and Hon. Marcus Nle-Eji.
