
One of the world’s deadliest serial killers, Luis Alfredo Garavito, is said to have died on Thursday in prison.
Garavito, known as “The Beast” or “The Monster of Genova,” abused, tortured and murdered over 150 boys between the ages of eight to 16.
Often parading himself as a saleman, monk, a homeless person or aid worker, he gained access to school looking for victims.m

The Colombian was arrested in 1999 and sentenced in 2000 to 835 years in prison.
He had also confessed to crimes in Venezuela and Ecuador, where he was sentenced to 22 years in prison in absentia.
