Anchor University management has expressed delight over the recent full accreditation of two more courses by the National Universities Commission (NUC).
The Registrar, Moses Salami, confirmed to ThisNigeria that Applied Geophysics and Industrial Chemistry have been given full accreditation by the NUC, having satisfied all the necessary mandatory requirements for such exercise.
Salami informed that the two courses initially had interim accreditation status, but now have been accorded full accreditation, having satisfied all the requirements.
“Initially, we were given interim accreditation, but now, full accreditation for the next five years before the NUC will come again for renewal.
“This result was the outcome of the October/November visitation by the NUC to our campus for an assessment of the two courses, but we thank God, we were given a clean bill of health.
“This result is a testament to the fact that Anchor University is rated among the top leading ivory towers in the country, with high standards.
“I can say with humility that Anchor University boasts of modern learning facilities, coupled with qualified and dedicated academic staff. More so, our Vice Chancellor, Prof. Samuel Bandele has been a great mobiliser of men and resources to achieve results.
“This is the secret of Anchor University’s successes all this while.
“By the grace of God, our hallmark is excellence in all aspect of academics cum moral uprightness.
‘’We shall uphold these unique qualities the school is known for,” Salami promised.
It will be recalled that any institution that NUC denies accreditation after the interim status; the implication is that students will be banned from being admitted into such programmes.
