Following the ban on motorcycles (okada) by the Lagos State Government, motorcyclists have gone on a rampage in the Ojo area of the state.

In a viral video on social media, the Okada riders could be seen wreaking havoc in protest against the ban.
They also engaged in a face-off with the Nigerian Police after over 200 motorcycles were seized by the state Taskforce.

ThisNigeria reported that Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu ordered a total ban on motorcycles in six Local Government Areas.
They include Eti-Osa, Ikeja, Surulere, Lagos Island, Lagos Mainland, and Apapa, extending to 9 LCDAs.
The ban will take effect from June 1, 2022.
