
Nigerian singer and activist, Seun Kuti on Monday submitted himself to the police for assaulting an officer.
ThisNigeria reports that the Inspector-General of Police, Usman Baba had ordered Kuti’s arrest and an investigation into the incident which occured during the weekend.
In a viral video shared online, the singer could be seen slapping a police officer, pushing him in the chest on Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos.
Defending his action, Kuti alleged that the policeman tried to kill him and his family, adding that he had evidence of his claim.

The singer will be represented in court by a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Femi Falana.
