Police summon officers filmed taking bribe

The Nigeria Police Force (NPF) has identified and summoned its officers who were caught on camera taking a bribe from a road user.
The development was made public by the Force Public Relations Officer (FPRO), Muyiwa Adejobi, in a post he made on Facebook early Tuesday.
Adejobi condemned the act, while also assuring the general public that the officers would be made to pay for their crimes.
Sharing the video, the FPRO captioned it, “This action is totally condemned. The officers have been identified and summoned to the force headquarters for necessary action. We will not condone any act of indiscipline and unprofessionalism. We will update the public on our decisions as soon as possible. Thanks.”
Recall that a road user had filmed what transpired between him and some policemen on the highway.
In the video, the policeman demanded five liters of petrol or N5000 equivalent to release the motorists.
