Hon. Lawani Damian, former Edo state commissioner for Sports, Youth and Special Duties on Monday said that he has absolute conviction that ” The time has come for Nigeria to practice true fiscal federalism.

Damian, a Lawyer and former member of the Edo state House of Assembly spoke with ThisNigeria that each region should be able to control its resources so that Nigerians can go back to work instead of politics becoming the quickest means of individual riches, wealth and status.

“The problem of this country now is the poor are not comfortable with governance any more, therefore the few rich ones can never sleep well.

“Do you know that the middle class of wealth is wiped out completely’ is either you are rich or poor”.

” A country so blessed but 98% lives below one dollar a day.
