Zangon-Katof local government area is one of the areas that has witnessed recurrent violence in Kaduna State. And as such the state government has been urged by security professionals to relax the curfew in Zangon-Katof.
In spite of the current strife and violence in the state, it is not beyond any reasonable doubt that the Hausa, Fulani and Atyap communities in the area can develop a friendlier relationship between themselves. The Commissioner for Internal Security & Home Affairs, Mr Samuel Aruwan, made this known while briefing on a security assessment.
He said the suggestion to relax the curfew had bub been approved, and it will now be a 12-hour curfew, instead of 24, and it would soon be extended to nearby LGAs.
