Reform in Zimbabwe education sector

The education system in Zimbabwe is witnessing a progressive amendment as can be seen in the law signed by President Emmerson Mnangagwa.
The law includes that government schools would not be able to refuse lesson to pregnant students as against the former law that allows schools to expel the girl and pardon the opposite sex responsible for the pregnancy. Also, the law does not give teachers the right to flog students.
Non-payment of school fees is also not a reason for schools to send students out of school anymore.
The admission of these amendments into law has been greatly welcomed by many, especially those in the education sector as they see it as been consistent with modern society. But others like the Secretary-General of the Progressive Teachers Union are of the opinion that the law might do more harm than good as students might grow to take undue advantage of it.
