The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has introduced a new system allowing candidates to upload their O’Level results from the comfort of their homes, eliminating the need for physical visits to Computer-Based Test centres for the process.

The initiative, announced in a statement on Monday by JAMB’s Acting Director, Public Affairs and Protocol, Fabian Benjamin, is part of the board’s efforts to simplify its services through technology and reduce the difficulties candidates face during the admission process.

Under the new arrangement, JAMB will verify candidates’ O’Level results directly with the examination bodies that issued them, beginning with the West African Examinations Council.

Benjamin said the development would make the process easier and safer while reducing reliance on manual procedures.

“Consequently, candidates can now upload their O’Level results from the comfort of their homes, while the Board undertakes the verification of such results directly with the issuing examination bodies,” he said.

According to him, the initiative is designed to reduce unnecessary visits to CBT centres, long queues and other challenges associated with manual result uploads.

He said the new system would also address cases involving misplaced or mixed-up paper results, presentation of unverified or fraudulent results, as well as mistakes in manually entering subjects and grades.

“Through the integration of JAMB’s eFacility platform with examination bodies, results can now be verified directly against the examination body’s records before being downloaded into the candidate’s profile,” Benjamin stated.

How candidates can verify and upload their O’Level results

Candidates are required to first verify their results before proceeding with the upload.

To verify their results, candidates should visit buyresultsverificationcode.ng, enter their National Identification Number and click on “Verify NIN”.

They are then required to select the number of sittings and the appropriate examination body or bodies before providing their email address and GSM number and proceeding with payment through the available payment options.

After payment, candidates are expected to provide their examination number, examination series and examination year to verify the result or results for the selected number of sittings.

Candidates will subsequently obtain a Verification Code after successful verification.

For the second stage, candidates are required to send “VERIFY” followed by their Verification Codeto 55019 or 66019.

The result will then be uploaded, after which candidates will receive a notification.

Candidates with two sittings will be directed to their profile on JAMB’s eFacility platform, where they are expected to click on “2026 UTME O’Level Upload.”

They will enter their Verification Code, after which their two verified results will be displayed.

Candidates must then select the required subjects, with a minimum of five and a maximum of nine subjects allowed. No subject should be selected more than once.

They are expected to click on “Apply the O’Level Results” to complete the process and will receive a notification confirming a successful upload.

JAMB said the verification service would provide candidates with a convenient alternative, particularly during periods of high patronage and network challenges at CBT centres.

Benjamin said the development was also consistent with the customer-focused approach of JAMB’s sixth Registrar, Prof. Segun Aina.

He added that the board would continue to deploy technology and collaborate with examination and government agencies to make its services “simpler, safer and more accessible” to candidates.
