National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and former Governor of Lagos State, Bola Tinubu has emerged the flagbearer of the party for the 2023 presidential election.
Chairman of the APC electoral committee, Atiku Bagudu made the declaration after Tinubu polled the highest votes at the party’s presidential primary in Abuja.
The former governor of Lagos State scored 1271 votes while former Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi polled 316 votes and the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo scored 235 votes.

Senate President, Ahmad Lawan and Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State scored 152 and 47 votes respectively.
Governors of Dave Umahi (Ebonyi) and Ben Ayade (Cross River) scored 38 and 37 votes, while former Governor of Zamfara State ,Ahmed Sani Yarima had four votes.

Tunde Bakare – 0 votes
Rochas Okorocha – 0 votes
Jack Rich- Tein – 0 votes
Ogbonnaya Onu – 1 vote
Ikeobasi Mokelu – 0 votes
A total of 2203 votes were cast by the delegates at the exercise.
However, 13 votes were declared void.
