The top echelon of the Islamic fundamentalist in Northeastern Nigeria – Boko Haram terrorists, has suffered a disgraceful bloody nose, as troops of Operation Hadin Kai in collaboration with Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), killed no fewer than 41 terrorist fighters, including a Commander, Abu Zahra, following a clinical special operation, executed in Dikwa Local Government Area of Borno State.
A top military source said, those who escaped the superior fire power of the troops, fled with gun shot wounds.
The source further, noted that the troops eliminated the terrorists in a silent intelligence-led midnight offensive, coordinated by Maj. Gen. Shaibu Waidi, the General Officer Commanding 7 Division and Commander Sector 1, in Mukdolo and Bone village, located between Dikwa and Ngala.
He also disclosed that the raid followed attacks in the past days believed to be orchestrated by the Islamist sect, which killed 36 fishermen at
Mukdolo in Ngala Local Government bordering Dikwa village on March 10 2023.
The fundamentalists, under the supreme command of Abu Darda and Abu Muhammed also stormed Mafa town in the early morning hours of March 19th 2023, a few hours after the elections, but the attack was thwarted by the troops, resulting in the killing of scores of the terrorists and recovery of two of their gun trucks.
To this end, military equipment including One gun truck, three Dushka, motorcycles and several other weapons were recovered from the busted terrorists base.
The source added that another Commander, (Amir Jaysh) Abu Mohammed, in company of few fighters reportedly fled in disarray due to the superior fire power of the soldiers.
He concluded that the fleeing terrorist commander and his timid ragtag fighters abandoned their properties worth millions of Naira in the terrorists’ house which were destroyed by the troops.
