Turkish Airlines, Air Peace seal global connectivity deal

By Francis Ajuonuma
Turkish Airlines and Air Peace have activated a bilateral interline agreement to enhance seamless connectivity between Nigeria, West and Central Africa, and the global aviation network.
The agreement enables passengers of both airlines to travel on a single ticket across selected routes, with coordinated schedules and streamlined baggage handling, significantly improving convenience and travel efficiency.
Under the arrangement, Turkish Airlines passengers arriving in Lagos can connect seamlessly to Air Peace’s domestic and regional destinations across Nigeria and West Africa.
In return, Air Peace passengers will gain access to Turkish Airlines’ extensive international network via Istanbul, a major global aviation hub linking Europe, Asia, the Middle East and the Americas.
The partnership is expected to deepen travel ties between Nigeria and Türkiye while opening new opportunities for trade, tourism and regional integration by linking West and Central Africa more efficiently to global markets.
Speaking on the development, Senior Vice President, International Relations and Alliances at Turkish Airlines, Dr. Özlem Özyön, said,“This interline agreement with Air Peace reinforces our commitment to expanding connectivity across Africa. By combining our global reach with Air Peace’s strong regional presence, we are delivering more travel options, improved convenience and greater accessibility for passengers.”
Also commenting, Chief Commercial Officer of Air Peace, Nowel Ngala, described the deal as strategic,“This partnership is a significant milestone in our vision to position Nigeria at the centre of global connectivity. It offers our customers seamless connections, reduced travel complexity and greater choice, while strengthening Nigeria’s role as a key aviation gateway.”
Turkish Airlines operates widebody aircraft on its Lagos route, offering premium onboard services and access to one of the most extensive global networks in aviation through its Istanbul hub.
With more than 50 aircraft, Air Peace is expanding its domestic, regional, and international routes, strengthening connectivity, trade, and tourism across Africa and beyond.
