Aisha Buhari, wife of President Muhammadu Buhari has deactivated her Twitter account following the suspension of the microblogging app by the Federal Government.

She made the announcement via her Twitter account before deactivating it.

Courts, State Assemblies to resume next week – FG

“I’ll be deactivating my account for now. Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” she tweeted.

The FG had suspended Twitter’s operations in Nigeria after the social media platform deleted what was flagged as a “genocidal tweet” from President Buhari’s official Twitter account.
