Russia ready to work with any future German govt. – Ambassador

Russia is ready to work with any new German Government that would be formed following the federal election, ambassador in Berlin Sergey Nechayev said on Monday.
Nechayev who disclosed this made this during an interview on Russia-24 broadcaster, said: “We are ready to work with any German government that will be formed after the election.
“We have a very broad and positive agenda with Germany, including the economy, energy, technical connections, culture, and humanitarian affairs.”
Also, Germany’s Free Democratic Party (FDP) said it is ready to discuss the formation of the future government both with the Social Democrats (SPD) and the conservative bloc, FDP head Christian Lindner said on Monday.
“We decided that after negotiations with the Union 90/Greens, we are also open to possible invitations from the (conservative bloc of) CDU/CSU or the SPD to further negotiate.’’
Lindner said this at a news conference held.
Markus Soeder in his remark said the head of Germany’s Christian Social Union (CSU) political party, did not rule out that conservatives, who lost the federal election, could be engaged in forming the future government.
“Coming second, it is impossible to qualify for forming a government, we can only make an offer, primarily out of responsibility for the country.
“We think that the participation of the CDU/CSU bloc in the government will be better for our country and people than its absence,’’ Soeder said.
Ralph Brinkhaus, the leader of the CDU/CSU bloc in the old convocation of the Bundestag, expressed disappointment with the results of the federal election.

He noted that conservatives still have a chance to form a new cabinet.
According to him, the situation did not improve, this is a huge disappointment for the entire bloc, it cannot be somehow glossed over.
“On the other hand, we have the opportunity to form a government.
“None of the candidates for chancellor is clearly ahead, therefore we will start negotiations now and see if we will be able to form a stable centrist coalition,’’ said Brinkhaus.
